On a new 4 acre site this £4.3m project has provided an extension to the existing business park on the outskirts of Bishops Castle. PSG have delivered the project from feasibility stage to completion working in close partnership with Shropshire Council’s Business Development team as client for the project. The main contractor under the design and build contract were SJ Roberts based locally in Marton, Shropshire.
Terr Kerr organised the replacement of the old and rotten timber curtain walling and windows to the corridors at the rear of the school with new powder coated commercial aluminium curtain walling and windows.
PSG were commissioned to design and deliver a new reception classroom along with a new GP room, PPA room and toilets.
Designated as a “Rural Hub”, the SpArC Leisure Centre provides valuable sports and leisure facilities to residents and schools in Bishops Castle and the wider rural area. The centre is well used and supported by the local community.
Owing to ongoing reliability issues with the passenger lift at Raven Meadows Multi Storey Car Park, PSG were commissioned to undertake the design and procurement of a major refurbishment scheme of the existing equipment to ensure that the unit became a reliable asset.
The school has expanded over the years and despite the best efforts of the kitchen staff it was clear that a larger kitchen was needed. PSG were appointed to carry out the design and supervise the build.
Pave Aways Building Contractors started work on site on 4th December 2017 and despite the heavy snow and sub-zero temperatures the construction works are currently on programme.
In June 2017 PSG were approached to carry out a high quality refurbishment of a 25 year old 5 bay demountable at The Community College, Bishop’s Castle
From February to April 2017 PSG carried out an infill extension of the Courtyard at Pontesbury Primary School.
During the summer of 2016 PSG undertook the internal remodelling of the ground floor to form a Secure Lobby within the original footprint of the building, which allowed us to do something really exciting with the fenestration to the new main entrance to the school.
