On a new 4 acre site this £4.3m project has provided an extension to the existing business park on the outskirts of Bishops Castle. PSG have delivered the project from feasibility stage to completion working in close partnership with Shropshire Council’s Business Development team as client for the project. The main contractor under the design and build contract were SJ Roberts based locally in Marton, Shropshire.
The new windows include high performance double glazed units, the school will benefit from improved energy efficient of the building, lower utility bills and maintenance cost savings.
The main pump house high-level rainwater gutters required cleaning out of debris, repairs and replacement of rotten timber snow guards.
Following extensive brickwork and plaster cracking a structural survey was carried out of two properties at Whitehouse Gardens, Shrewsbury. The occupants were relocated during the works.
The developers offered one of the old buildings for alternative accommodation and PSG were appointed to carry out the internal re-fit.
The school required additional office space for Finance staff. The front entrance location of the proposed office was identified by the school, which provided technical challenges due to services such as drainage, fibre optic cables, electricity etc.
In addition to the extensions the existing building was also partially refurbished internally and externally to provide a quality teaching facility that will last for many years.
In April 2016 Kinnerley Primary School approached PSG regarding the adaptation of their IT Suite to provide a much larger library provision for the school.
This new 1000m building provides a four court sports hall was designed to Sport England design guidance.
Premises Services were commissioned by ‘Learning & Skills’ to develop proposals for addition classroom block for two new classrooms required due to projected increase in pupil numbers.
