Fiona left St Peter's at the end of term which is a great shame. Also I'm moving on to pastures new on the 9th September so only have a few weeks left at St Peter's. It has been great working with you and both Fiona and I would like to thank you for all the hard work and commitment you've shown to St Peter's. It has resulted in the school being in a fantastic condition for the children of Wem.

Many thanks and have a lovely summer.

Richard, St Peter's Primary School

Can I just say how wonderful the demountable at Bomere Primary School is looking after the work you arranged over the summer. I was out there last week and was amazed at the transformation!.

Early years and childcare service manager

I would just like to thank the team for the speedy service you gave us with the emergency we had getting a padlock out of the ground last week. It was much appreciated, and got us out of a panic!

Adrian Perks, Visitor Facilities Manager, Shrewsbury Museum

Just thought you should know that Andy has been excellent over the roof leak at the school, plus the jobs that we needed doing around school. I know sometimes it's easy to criticise people, but we should also give praise as well, as he has done a great job over the last couple of months.

Oakmeadow Primary School

I have been out to Long Mountain primary this morning to have a look at the new nursery provision at the school

I just wanted to pass on my thanks to everyone in your team for what is a fantastic facility. Having spent so long making do in the village hall it is great to see the children in such a great environment. Everyone involved is thrilled with the outcome and they are already seeing positive benefits in terms of children's learning and their behaviour and the integration of nursery to the main school.

I know many of your team will have been involved in the planning and delivery of the accommodation and can I ask you to pass on my thanks and the very positive feedback I have had form the staff and children today.

Neville Ward, Service Manager Early Years & Childcare

Just to say a big thank you for organising the work over the holiday. The classroom is amazing! They didn't have to leave a pillar so the classroom looks so much bigger. They finished in four days and were really nice fellas. They cleaned up and appreciated how the staff had cleared the room for them. They have to pop back to finish the painting as the plaster was still wet. The nursery steps have been completed too which is good. The boiler room has been painted. All in all a busy week with some excellent results. Thank you again.

Shire Services

R G Stones have completed work in the History demountable classrooms this afternoon. I would like to thank you very much for investing in this refurbishment project: it will have a significant positive impact on staff and students.

St Leonards Primary School (1)

Just to say a huge 'thank you' for organising the plumber so quickly this morning, he arrived with us at 8.40 a.m. The issue is to do with either a valve or an air lock & can hopefully be repaired today. This really is a great help Helen, much appreciated.

Administrator, Kinnerley Primary School

All the contractors who worked on the new boiler were very polite and all signed in whilst on site. They did a sterling job considering the tight space they had to work in. They completed the job on time and without the loss of service. Overall very satisfied.

Kim Stokes, Head Teacher, Moreton Say Primary School

Just wanted to drop you an e-mail. We have had a few problems over the last few weeks at the school and I wanted to thank Andy and Graham for all their support and for providing an excellent service. It is reassuring to know that there is someone on hand to offer support and the work people who have been out, in particular R G Edwards have been excellent. I would also like to acknowledge the time Andy and Graham have taken to explain everything to me and to offer reassurance and support - this has been very much appreciated. A first class service - thank you!

Mrs Amanda Skidmore, Headteacher, St Marys CE Primary School, Albrighton

On behalf of all the staff, governors and children at Bicton, thank you to everyone involved in the project over the past 4 months. The support and advice from the Local Authority and the contractors has been much appreciated and I personally did not imagine for one minute that the project would be as stress-free as it has been!

Paveaways' employees, and everyone they have contracted to work on site, have always been considerate and eager not to affect the day-to-day running of the school and I cannot recommend their services enough.

Bicton Primary School

It really does look professional, modern, and when the Chairman has civic do's etc., we can be proud to entertain and show that Shropshire Council is of high quality and open for the modern day. It really will make a difference when people visit and for our civic pride, it really does show we are in government and mean business.

Chairman of the Council

When I phone in to report a problem, the Business Support team always greet me personally. This is very welcoming and makes me feel that we really care for our customers. They are also very helpful in listening to the problem and informing me of which contactor will be coming to site.

Customer

Thank you for your help, not only with this but the playground. I would like to say that your staff we have dealt with have been hard working, professional and extremely pleasant, and we are really pleased with the work you have done. We would certainly employ your firm again. It is not just about the most reasonable price, it is also about the positive relationship between contractors and customers, and your team certainly provide great customer service!

Holy Trinity Primary School

Can I just say that now we have finally got to the end of the build for the extended foyer/office space I would like to thank Shropshire Property Services as it has transformed the way we are able to operate and the look of the school. The design by Harvey Gould fits exactly and more than the original brief . I know it was difficult with that particular contractor but we felt well supported by the Local Authority.

Headteacher, St Andrew's Primary School, Shifnal

Just a quick message regarding Neil and Bethan, I want to thank them for the support they have given me and the school during this summer's project. They have been very professional and a credit to your department. Bethan, Neil and Nick have also supported me through a very hard week. They have been very caring and very supportive, and have made a difficult period a little easier to handle. Again all three are a credit to your department.

Your support is much appreciated.

From planning to instalment we are most grateful to Property Services Group for making this revamp happen. It has changed the quality of service for our pupils hugely. Steve Carpenter, Harvey Gould and Graham Corbett have been fantastic.

Mark Bufton, Bomere Heath Primary School

Hope you are well as we haven't caught up with each other lately. I feel it is appropriate for me to feed back to you that to date we have enjoyed working with Bethan on our projects. Bethan is enthusiastic, has imagination and is very good at communicating and keeping me up to date with projects and issues that she is trying to deal with.

I would like to extend our thanks to you for the support we have had over the past few years and for the investment at the college. The Science laboratory refurbishment, PE Changing rooms refurbishment, the toilet refurbishment and works in the English area, the new roof, ceilings and lights in the French rooms and the new carpet in the main corridor have had a huge impact on the educational environment at the school and is really appreciated by both students and staff. We await to see the impact the new boilers and control panel will have on the school heating and budget.

Just wanted to say, love the newsletter.

The Community College, Bishops Castle

Thank you yet again for your assistance with resolving the water leak at Great Ness Cemetery last week, it was quite a stressful situation initially, the funeral went ahead as planned, the family were as far as we know unaware there had been an issue and a repair to the water pipe was able to be made after the burial had taken place.

This matter could have been quite a problem and distressing for the family, our combined efforts managed to avoid this.

Bereavement Services

Thank you very much for your email. I can report that Severn Trent were on Alexandra Road today trying to repair / unblock whatever was causing the issue with the drains. They have been to school and emptied the boiler room again this evening too. Hopefully, that has rectified the issue with the flooding of the boiler room and we can soon have the boiler up and running. Thank you for organising a full clean of the area too; we really appreciate that. Many thanks for organising the heaters to come out so soon too, Emma. They have already made the classrooms feel much warmer. Thanks to everyone for their help.

Market Drayton Junior School

Working for PSG is always a pleasure. Simon Reynolds designed a system and specification that was easy to install and we worked well together to install the system he had specified.

Tim Whalley, Office Manager, Stacey Mechanical Services Ltd

We are extremely pleased with our new kitchen. It adds space whilst still fitting in with the overall building design. Whilst the project was a difficult one to accommodate, I am very grateful to the team for managing to facilitate the superb addition to our school. Thank you.

St John the Baptist Primary School

I wanted you to provide you some feedback regarding Richard Roberts. he has been a great support to me with our new practice building development. He has been a great ambassador for the council, working during very difficult times, first the floods and then the Covid pandemic, all with the utmost professionalism. He truly is a great asset to the council, and I for one would not have been able to manage the project without his support.

If there are awards for council staff, I would highly recommend that Richard receives this recognition, or at least the feedback to pass on to him that I am extremely thankful for his help.

Tracy Willocks

I wanted to share some lovely feedback from a client I liaised with just now who said that the service received has been brilliant! Since making my referral for grab rails it has been processed and actioned within 1 week, family are so pleased and so am I – Thanks very much.

Great to see some amazing teamwork. Happy Friday & have a lovely weekend!

Jessica Bailey, Occupational Therapist

To Terry and Carl, Property & Development, I just wanted to say thank you for all the work that was completed on the Cockshutt Kitchen.  The walls are fabulous and we had the EHO in today and we have our 5 stars!!  Thank you so much!

Mandy Jones, Mere's Edge Federation

I just want to say a huge thank you for getting the fencing panels reinstated. Work was completed this morning and it is a great job, I really appreciate it.

Home owner, Shorncliffe

It was great to attend the handover meeting on Friday.

This whole project was based on a discussion between colleagues, probably 3 years ago. This option was one of a number we discussed and was the most wishful and ambitious of all those considered, and it was fabulous when the funding to deliver this option was secured.

It is credit to all of those involved from that moment forward that we have achieved a fantastic build that will remain as an outstanding legacy to all of those involved who shared in the vision and delivered it so effectively. Everyone involved should be rightly proud of what has been achieved.

The children and young people in north Shrewsbury have been provided with 21st century provision that I have no doubt will help improve their life chances through the quality education Steph and her staff will deliver in this new build.

Thank you to all of those who made this happen.

Learning & Skills (2)

Suzanne, Empower Trust

Thanks for your oversight of the work during the summer. Things are pretty much finished here by the look of things. They do need to finish the cupboards and sort the fence near the ramp (but this is in hand). Please could you liaise with the electricians to arrange the installation of the whiteboards and the installation of the heater in class 3.

Thanks again for your hard work during the summer. A very efficient job. It looks terrific.

Co-Headteacher, Trinity CE Primary School

Ian Pengilly is a fantastic ambassador for Shropshire Council. He is knowledgeable and very proficient in his field. He has a great professional manner and nothing is ever too much trouble.  He always delivers to the top standard and is relentless in getting contractors to deliver the highest level of service and is meticulous in checking up on them, which is essential.

Crowmoor Primary School

We are extremely pleased and proud of the delivered product and I am sure that Haughmond Federation, as end user client, feel equally pleased and honoured to have such a quality new facility at their disposal. Thank you to all involved at PSG in delivering this future fit accommodation for the school community in the north of the Town.

Please can you pass our thanks to the team for yesterday's presentation. We're very excited and look forward to the next step

Shrewsbury Market Hall

Just a short note to say that the contractor accessed the property as planned.

I met Alastair there first thing and everything was in good order. He is now looking after the snag list. I have been very impressed with Alastair's approach to this job. The timescale of the project put quite a bit of pressure on him, which he managed with patience, humour and diligence.

It's been a pleasure working with him.

Marion Versluijs, Commissioning Development Officer, Shropshire Council

I have been working with Scott Gerrard at the Mardol House building for the past 12 months. I need to let you know it has been a total pleasure. I have always found Scott to be very helpful and nothing is too much trouble for him. If he was not sure about something he would spend time to try and get the answer. I have found him to be very thorough in his advice and explanations. Scott is a credit to your service.

Shire Services (1)

I just wanted to thank you for your help with our issues we had with our waste pump last Friday. Chris Breeze and an electrician came back in the afternoon for a couple of hours and got it all up and running again. I appreciate your help in getting them to come back as I think we could have been wading in who knows what, had we had to wait until the Tuesday!

Dawn Aston, Oxon Primary School

I'd like to put on record how helpful PSG have been in relation to the Bishop's Castle workspace proposals. I know things haven been straightforward due to BREEAM, etc, but Suzanne Claydon has been so efficient and approachable throughout and it's great that we now have planning approval. We look forward to continuing our relationship with PSG as we try to make the project a reality.

Gary Spence, Marches EU ERDF Technical Assistance Officer

It has been a pleasure to work with you.

Thank you for the overview and update and for the prompt responses; much appreciated!

We have had a number of visitors to carry out or review works here over the past few days so thanks to both you and Andy for this. Also thanks to Pete for his update with me which has again proved useful.

Bomere & Ruyton Primary School

The floor at Nesscliffe is amazing. It makes such a difference.

Weston Lullingfields: The door and ramp are brilliant. The office and foyer look great and will make such a difference.

West Felton; Completely forgot about that and it was me who let him in!! Very good, makes a huge difference. Shows the rest of the school up now so will have to look at replacing bit by bit. Thank you for sorting the step.

Once again I appreciate everything you have sorted out for me. You are a star!

Speak soon

Mereside Primary School

I wanted to express my thanks to Premises Services and the contractors for the excellent job in organising the works to the property. It’s very much appreciated, particularly given the sensitivity and time constraints

Andy Begley, Director of Adult Social Care

'I wanted to personally thank you both for the work completed by all your team which has completely transformed our little school.

The extension has meant:

  • Staff have a place to decompress during the school day
  • Staff are happier and more unified across the school
  • Staff are able to complete their PPA in school which means the school is always well staffed in an emergency
  • There is a place to hold meetings outside of a classroom
  • There is a professional air to the building
  • Due to the extension we have been able to utilise my old office and the children now have a library and a place to deliver pastoral support.

There are many more benefits, but these are the headlines. It feels like it is the way the school should always have been, and we appreciate the tasteful way in which the work has been completed by matching the rest of our 1930s building.

So, in short - thank you to the whole team, you have made a significant difference to the life of our community and we are so grateful.

Best wishes'

Mandy

Criftins Primary School (1)

Just wanted to send a quick email to say thank you to you and your team for managing the building works (flooring and roofing) at our school during the Summer Holidays.

Work was completed on-time (just the external rail for the ramp delayed but not issues incurred), all contractors were reliable and efficient and we were extremely pleased with all 3 classrooms (just a couple of area to touch-up in terms of the decoration).

Thank you once again and please pass this on to the team at PSG if you wish to do so.

Jack Pittaway, Co-Headteacher

Thank you to everyone who has helped in any way to get the new community hub of Albrighton Parish Council and Library underway. Thanks to the builders and decorators, especially Ian, Scott, Jonathan and Mike, and to the electricians and plumbers, many of whom appeared at a moment’s notice and who all, without exception, were most helpful, and of course to Phil Brown and Graham Corbett. It’s been a pleasure to work with you.

Albrighton Library

Just wanted to say thanks. Great job on the French window, and special thanks for getting the job completed so quickly. This means that are children will be able to get from the school to the church much more safely in time for the Christmas play, when it will be dark. Please pass on my thanks the the gentlemen who carried out the work. I couldn't praise them more highly.

Cathy, Trefonen Primary School

I would like to make you aware of how hard Daniel and the builders have worked this summer, I am sure you know this but it is always nice to hear it from someone else!

I am really pleased with the building work and the finish, the contractors have been exceptional and I am thoroughly happy. I know this has been also down to the time and commitment from Daniel at Oakmeadow and ensuring that it has been kept on track.

The only disappointment was the structural engineering amendment made, it was a shame this wasn't identified in the assessment/inspection. However I believe Daniel is pursuing this for us.

Thank you to all involved. We have a fantastic new area now.

Carla, Oakmeadow Primary School

I would like to thank Property Services Group for the excellent and professional job which was carried out at St. Mary's over the summer holidays. All the school's fan convectors have been replaced which was a big project, involving many different services and all areas of the school building. From the planning meeting before the project, to its execution and final review, everything has been undertaken in a thoroughly professional manner and the work has been completed to a very high standard. I am delighted with the finished work, which not only looks great but will keep us warm this coming winter! Thank you to Nick and the team for a brilliant job!

St Marys Primary School, Albrighton

On behalf of myself and Jayne I would just like to say a big thank you to Ian Pengilly and Nathan Davies for today. We appreciated the extremely efficient reactions from both of you and also, the regular check ins regarding progress. Thanks also Ian for visiting twice.

Fingers crossed for a quiet day tomorrow!! Many thanks

Hannah, Crowmoor Primary School

We have received excellent service from PSG with regard to building works over the past two years. Projects are well planned, meet our needs, and communication has been excellent. Any issues during the projects have been dealt with promptly and deadlines have been met.

On behalf of the Partners, staff and myself we cannot thank you and your teams enough for the speedy response and actions to our very distressing situation caused by the floods.

We appreciate how busy the council have been with dealing with the flood situation for Shropshire , in particular Shrewsbury.

Special thanks to the following people must be mentioned, Richard Roberts who helped quickly organise with Ian the engineers, cleaning teams etc. Angela and Sam for their very helpful meetings and updates and progressing everything with the insurance and procurement in an exceptional timely manner.

All being well, we will return to RMP very soon, with only three months until we move to the new building.

Tracy Willocks, Business Manager, Riverside Medical Practice

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you all for the work you did on our CIF bid. I know it has taken you a long time, but I really appreciate it. Fingers crossed now that it will be accepted and we can look forward to some exciting new boiler work being done.

Thank you all again for the time and effort you have put into it, I'm very grateful.

Cathy Rutherford, Woodfield Infant School

Really a delight to work with the contractor - turns up when they say they will and kept informed of progress throughout - was also happy to make adjustments as product was installed.  Excellent all round.

Ludlow School

To Amanda/Alastair, just wanted to say thank you for all your help with getting me the shower put in lovely new bathroom, it has made my life so much easier. Thank you again.

Maxine Breakwell

I just wanted to write and express my thanks to you and your team for the work you did this year on our new D&T classroom.

As Head of Design & Technology, I am very pleased with the final outcome and it is already having a very position effect on the teaching and learning in our resistant materials classes. I know that my colleague Phil Gardner; who is based in the room, is also very pleased with the outcome. The feedback I received on open evening last week was glowing.

Working closely with Suzanne and the team has meant that the final classroom is almost exactly what I wanted from our initial meetings. The management of the scheme has been exemplary, and despite the usual unforeseen problems which one expects, I always felt that the team understood our requirements, and that they never compromise on the core specification.

I have been in a number of new schools recently and I can honestly say that this facility is as good as, if not better than anything else I have seen.

Please pass on my gratitude to your team, and if I can be of any help to any other school who are building or re-fitting a workshop, then please don't hesitate to pass on my details.

Stephen Cox, Head of Design & Technology, Meole Brace School

A huge thank you to you all for an amazing effort yesterday.   It had to be seen to be believed! We have lots of equipment drying the place out, but we are managing.   I hope you are all warmer and more dried out now! Gold star for you all.

Mandy, Criftins Primary School

I would just like to say thank you for the fantastic improvements to the school over the summer holidays. The toilets are amazing and the electrical work is a great improvement. Thank you also for liaising with Neville to secure the necessary funding for the classroom swap over. The new arrangement is working very well for all concerned.

Woore Primary School

I just wanted to say how pleased I am with the work that has been done in the half term. The ceilings look great and the hall windows are fabulous. Both companies have been super! Thank you.

St Leonards Primary School

What a wonderful service!!! 😊

Criftins Primary School

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to give you some feedback on PSG's involvement in the above project. I am never shy to criticise when I don't believe something is done right, as you know, but I am equally quick to offer praise for good work!

I have been very impressed and happy with PSG's contribution to the Greenacres Supported Living project, I'm particularly pleased at the ambition they have shown in embracing the Council's objectives of reducing carbon emissions and ultimately aiming to be carbon neutral by 2030. Proposing Passivhaus standard for this kind of project was a big leap and one I am delighted they have made, it has also been positively received by officers in Adult Social Care and the local member. Proposing Passivhaus measures for the school projects they're currently working on is even more ambitious and just as warmly received!

I just wanted you to be aware of the good work they're doing. Many thanks

Member, Adult Social Care

Thank you so much for planning and then coordinating the work over the summer.

I spent time in a whole school assembly this morning talking about the work completed over the summer and how pleased we were with it. The sheer volume of work is amazing (year 1 toilets, year 1 walls and windows, new carpets, year 2 decoration, corridor decoration and car park drainage).

All of the work was completed on time and exactly matched our specifications. The contractors that were employed all worked in a professional way to complete the work.

As we have discussed before, I strongly feel that detailed planning is key to success. Thank you for all the work you did with me in the early spring in preparation for this work.

Please pass on my specific thanks to Justin and Nick.

Thank you again, Mark

Mark Rogers

We have been using PSG for the facilities management of our commercial office in the middle of town, and are pleased with the decision. It gives us a single point of contact for anything that needs doing to the building, from simple lighting faults to moving air-conditioning units around. It's much easier than having a long list of tradespeople to ring around yourself as they take all of the organising away for you, and for a modest management fee. We would have no hesitation in recommending them to other similar privately owned organisations.

David Parry, Wellmeadow

Suzanne and I wanted to let you know that the demountable project is now complete and will be in full use as of today. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank your team, particularly Andy and Neil, and all at RG Stones who worked very closely with Suzanne in ensuring all went to plan and the timescale set was adhered to. Please pass our appreciation onto those involved.

St Georges Junior School

I feel it is appropriate for me to feed back to you that to date we have enjoyed working with Bethan on our projects. Bethan is enthusiastic, has imagination and is very good at communicating and keeping me up to date with projects and issues that she is trying to deal with.

To Alison Baker, I just wanted to thank you for your support with getting the flooring on the outside play area completed. The work has now been completed and it looks great. The staff are really pleased and it will be so beneficial when we start to have children back in the Nursery. Please can you also pass on my thanks to the team that organised this.

Nicola Greaves, Operations Manager - Targeted Services & Community Paediatrics

To Darren Milner, 'I just wanted to reach out and say thank you for your help during the issue of boundary resolution. We finally managed to complete the sale in March and so are now finally settled into our 'new' home. It was touch and go for a while if would get over the line so your help was very much appreciated, and it really made a difference. On behalf of myself and my family, we like to say a big Thank you.

Having spoken to a lady called Di on Monday I want you to know how impressed we were for the way she handled the problem regarding the removal of asbestos material at our property which we are purchasing from Shropshire Council.

She was friendly and extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help sort the issue and kept me well informed during that day and since.

Can you please pass on our gratitude to her.

Property Purchaser

Just want to say from me a big thank you to you for your work involved with our new toilets. I'm very pleased with them and the kids love them. Fantastic job. I'm sure you will get an official thanks but just wanted to let you know that I appreciate your support.
