Owing to ongoing reliability issues with the passenger lift at Raven Meadows Multi Storey Car Park, PSG were commissioned to undertake the design and procurement of a major refurbishment scheme of the existing equipment to ensure that the unit became a reliable asset. The scheme was designed with a view to integrate into the car park’s recently installed ticketing system, to ensure access to the lift was restricted to permitted users of the car parking facilities, in a bid to minimise the impact of anti-social behaviour on the equipment.
Following the tendering exercise, Cotswold Lifts Ltd were appointed as the successful contractor to deliver the project on site. Work began in early December, and with the first phase of works now complete, the lift is operational as a conventional system allowing the system to be thoroughly soak tested before the second phase of works which will involve integration with the ticketing system, takes place.
Anyone who had used the existing lift at the car park will be sure to see a dramatic improvement to the aesthetics interior of the lift car.
