Norbury Primary School Foundation Unit

For the past five years, Norbury Primary School and Nursery has had a successful full time Foundation Stage, which has provided outstanding provision for children from two years up to five years and is currently situated in the existing modular building.

Stiperstones Primary School no longer has nursery provision, as its nursery closed in September 2017 due to low numbers and high running costs.

Therefore, the Shropshire Hills Federation proposed to offer full time nursery provision once again to families from the Stiperstones catchment area in joint provision at the proposed building on the Norbury school site.

R G Stones (Buildings) Ltd., have recently completed a Foundation Stage Unit which accommodates 24 places for children from the age of two to five years.

The new facilities include a spacious teaching area, group and PPA room, store, cloaks area with both adult and child toilet provision. Also externally there is provision of an enclosed play area and decking area with a canopy over, allowing for an outdoor learning area for the pupils to enjoy.
