The economy of Bishops Castle requires support to ensure that the businesses already in the town can have the opportunity to expand and grow, and to ensure the future vibrancy of the community.
The existing Business Park off Brampton Road is on the south-eastern side of the town, with good access and infrastructure to enable future growth.
A planning application has been approved for the provision of four new business units which will occupy the undeveloped land to the north of the existing Business Park.
The project is due to go out to tender next month with a start date on site in April 2021 and completion of all units before December 2021.
Work continues at Bishops Castle to deliver the eight unit Business Park extension. The Contractor’s latest aerial photography captures the progress with the steel superstructure now well under way.
We are delivering the project, as a Design and Build Project, through the main contractor SJ Roberts. We are working in close partnership with Shropshire Council’s Business Development team who are client for the project.
The development includes four buildings providing eight separate business units with car parking, and incorporates the latest sustainable technologies and will include electric vehicle charging points, solar PV panels and rainwater harvesting for irrigation. The 50,000sq.ft of business accommodation provided by the development will help retain local companies in the area and extract new business and investments, creating additional jobs.
