PSG were approached on the 3rd March to assist with relocating the Shropshire Local office within the Charles Darwin Shopping Centre in Shrewsbury, to the former BID Unit in the centre, which needed to be completed prior to the 18th March 2022.
The project included: fixed wiring test & adaptations to the electrical installation (extra power for 4 number tv screens & mobile counter); testing the emergency lighting; re-lamping the existing fittings & cleaning the diffusers; inspecting the fire extinguishers; services 2 number air conditioning units; legionella risk assessment & water temperature checks; serviced the 3 number instantaneous water heaters; inspected & tested the roller shutter; arranged new service contracts for existing mechanical & electrical installations; upgraded the existing fire door; redecorated the unit; floor repairs; resealed the engineered bamboo wood flooring; & assisted with the relocation of the existing furniture to the new unit, which was successfully relocated on the morning of 18th March ready for its official opening at 9:00am.
Shropshire Local remained open throughout the process, so people were able to engage with the Council without any impact upon the services offered.
