There is a lot of work going on at Oxon Primary School this summer:
The Infant toilets are being refurbished by R G Edwards. Strip out of the existing sanitary ware and floor coverings is now completed ready for decoration, new floor coverings, new cubicles, units, wash basins.
Surface water drainage repairs have already been completed by Henry Williams Ltd. Tree roots had caused the gulley to collapse and had grown through the drain; a new gulley, redirected drain, upgraded inspection chamber cover and new surfacing have solved the drainage problems.
Derek Griffiths Painting & Decorating have been busy at the school over the past few weeks, working weekends and into the summer holidays to freshen up the school, redecorating several different areas.
The timber cladding and windows are being replaced to two of the class rooms by R G Edwards. Weathering has caused the timber to decay and it is being replaced by masonry walls with new aluminium framed windows. The works are well underway with the inside of the classroom prepared for the works and a small section of roof propped.
